Larsen & Toubro (L&T) Defense is highlighting the rapid development of India’s new Light Tank, codenamed Project Zorawar. In the ever-evolving landscape of aerial warfare, the development of advanced unmanned combat aerial vehicles (UCAVs) is poised to revolutionize military capabilities. Among these groundbreaking innovations is the Remotely-Piloted Strike Aircraft (RPSA) stealth UCAV, a formidable platform designed to augment the capabilities of manned fighter jets. To offer a glimpse into its scale and potential, we present a computer-generated image showcasing a side-by-side size comparison of the RPSA with the LCA-Tejas Mk1A fighter jets.

The provided computer-generated image offers a side-by-side comparison of the expected dimensions of the RPSA and the LCA-Tejas Mk1A. Both appear to be in the Light-weight category, with the RPSA possibly having a slightly smaller profile. This is supported by estimations of the RPSA’s Maximum Take-Off Weight (MTOW) falling within the 12-13 ton range, placing it in the same league as the Tejas Mk1A’s 13.5-ton MTOW.

The Indian Army is exploring the creation of a specialized unit dedicated to acting as the adversary during military exercises and wargame training. This new unit, referred to as “OPFOR” (Opposing Forces), is currently under discussion and awaits final approval from the Army leadership.

Four years ago, in April 2020, tensions flared on the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in eastern Ladakh. China began amassing troops, weaponry, and artillery along its side of the border. One of the key unresolved issues is the ongoing standoff at Depsang, a strategically significant plateau at 16,000 feet.

Depsang, a vast 972-square kilometer plateau, holds immense strategic importance. Crucially, it houses a vital section of the 255-km Darbuk-Shyok-DBO (DSDBO) road. This road serves as a critical artery, connecting the strategically located DBO airstrip to the Karakoram Pass. Chinese military buildup in Depsang directly threatens this vital Indian supply route.

Recent events in Canada have reignited concerns over the resurgence of pro-Khalistan sentiment, as inflammatory speeches and separatist displays marred a Nagar Kirtan Parade organized by the Ontario Gurdwara Committee. The rally, held in Toronto, saw the repetition of separatist slogans and imagery, including a float depicting Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi behind bars.

This alarming development comes just a week after pro-Khalistan chants were witnessed in the presence of Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau during a gathering. The recurrence of such incidents underscores the persistence of pro-Khalistan elements within certain segments of the Canadian Sikh community and raises questions about the extent of their influence.

Responding to a reporter’s query on Jaishankar’s remarks on these arrests, Minister Miller said, “We’re not lax. And the Indian foreign minister is entitled to his opinion. I’m going to let him speak his mind. It’s just not accurate,” as broadcast on Cable Public Affairs Channel (CPAC), a Canadian speciality television channel.

The Maldives has said India withdrew more than half of its troops deployed in its territory ahead of a Friday deadline, as the strategically located archipelago strengthens ties with China.

The Maldives, known as a luxury tourist destination with its white sand beaches, also straddles key east-west international shipping routes. Pro-China President Mohamed Muizzu’s election win last year hinged in large part on a pledge to reduce India’s political clout in the atoll nation.
