The company showcased the Khagantak 306 and 243 long-range glide bombs, representing a significant leap forward in India’s indigenous defense capabilities.
JSR officials, in an exclusive conversation with idrw.org, shed light on the groundbreaking features of these cutting-edge munitions. The Khagantak 306 emerges as a formidable long-range glide bomb, boasting an impressive operational range of 175 kilometers. Meanwhile, its counterpart, the Khagantak 243, offers a substantial reach with a range extending up to 144 kilometers. Both glide bombs exhibit exceptional glide ratios exceeding 12, enabling enhanced precision and maneuverability during deployment.
One of the hallmark features of the Khagantak series is their superior standoff range at normal operational altitudes, a critical attribute for engaging targets with heightened efficiency and minimizing exposure to hostile threats. Moreover, equipped with state-of-the-art GPS and ADC-coupled Navigation Systems, these munitions demonstrate resilience against jamming attempts, ensuring uninterrupted navigation and targeting accuracy in adverse conditions.
The versatility of the Khagantak 243 is further accentuated by its compatibility with a Wide FOV EQ/IR Seeker, facilitating long-range target detection capabilities. This advanced seeker technology empowers operators with enhanced situational awareness, enabling swift and precise identification of potential threats across diverse operational environments.
Crucially, JSR Dynamics Pvt Ltd has spearheaded the development of the Khagantak series, leveraging its expertise to engineer sophisticated munitions tailored to meet the evolving needs of modern warfare. While BEL is entrusted with the development of the blast fragmentation warhead, JSR has independently engineered all other critical systems integrated into these innovative glide bombs.
