Armenia’s recently acquired Advanced Towed Artillery Gun System (ATAGS) 155mm/52 caliber towed guns from India have received a user-friendly upgrade, according to Baba Kalyani, Chairman of Bharat Forge.

The ATAGS deployed in Armenia boast ballistic computers with interfaces in the local language. This customization simplifies operation for Armenian artillery crews, reducing training time and potential for errors.

The ballistic computers also integrate seamlessly with Armenia’s land navigation systems. This integration allows for more precise gun laying and targeting, enhancing the overall effectiveness of the ATAGS on the battlefield.

Kalyani’s statement hints at the possibility of further customization. The ATAGS might be adaptable to connect with Armenia’s satellite system, potentially enabling even more advanced targeting capabilities.By tailoring the ATAGS interface and navigation integration, India demonstrates its commitment to providing user-friendly and adaptable military solutions to partner nations.
