The Indian Air Force (IAF) is set to procure around 200 advanced night vision goggles (NVGs) to improve the operational capability of its Mi-17V5 and Dhruv helicopter fleets. These NVGs, specifically the Netro NB-3101 developed by MKU, will provide pilots with superior night vision capabilities for flying and maneuvering during low-light conditions.
The Netro NB-3101 utilizes advanced optics and a Gen III Image Intensifier sensor to deliver high-resolution, stereoscopic vision. This allows pilots to navigate effectively at night and in low-visibility environments. The system is also rugged, waterproof, and compliant with MIL-STD-810G standards, ensuring durability in tough operating conditions.
MKU offers additional solutions to seamlessly integrate the ANVGs into existing helicopter cockpits. Our custom cockpit modification services adjust and convert lighting systems within the cockpit, cargo hold, and passenger areas for compatibility with NVG use. These lighting system customizations can be tailored to specific mission types, further enhancing the pilot’s situational awareness and surveillance capabilities during night missions.
The integration of MKU’s Netro NB-3101 ANVGs and customized cockpit solutions will significantly improve the IAF’s helicopter operations at night, allowing for a wider range of mission execution and enhanced pilot safety during critical nighttime maneuvers.
