International Aerospace Manufacturing Pvt Ltd (IAMPL), a joint venture between Rolls-Royce and Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd (HAL), is setting its sights on significant growth in Tamil Nadu. The company is actively exploring the possibility of establishing four to five new manufacturing units in the state, according to Kishore Jayaraman, President of Rolls-Royce – India and South Asia.

During a discussion at the Tamil Nadu Technology Hub (iTNT hub) day event, Mr. Jayaraman highlighted the positive factors influencing IAMPL’s expansion plans in Tamil Nadu. He commended the state’s strong infrastructure, skilled workforce, excellent academic institutions, and supportive governance.

IAMPL’s existing manufacturing facility in Hosur is already playing a key role in the global aerospace supply chain. The facility manufactures intricate components for both civil and defense aero-engines, employing a team of approximately 200 engineers dedicated to delivering high-precision, top-quality products. Their dedication has resulted in exports reaching the United Kingdom and Germany.

The iTNT hub has been instrumental in facilitating IAMPL’s business growth. While the company already operates two manufacturing units in India (Bengaluru and Hosur), the potential expansion in Tamil Nadu presents exciting opportunities. Establishing additional units would not only strengthen IAMPL’s manufacturing base but also lead to a significant increase in job creation.
