DRDO chairman Dr Samir V Kamat says “It is very critical that we should be prepared to make all the defence systems that our services need to fight the war. We have to be prepared to make these systems within the country and also ensure that the dependence on foreign suppliers is to a minimum.
If that is not the case, we will not be able to sustain a war for very long. PM Modi has given a call that we should become Aatmanirbhar at the earliest and that we also become a technology leader by the year 2047.”
