Electropneumatics & Hydraulics (I) Pvt. Ltd (EPHL) has made significant strides in providing realistic firefighting training, particularly for naval personnel. Their Fire Fighting Training Facility (FFTF) is a state-of-the-art facility designed to replicate the challenges and conditions encountered on actual ships.

The FFTF is an independent facility that boasts a 3 Deck Ship Like Structure, Underground Propane Yard, Water Hose Training Range, Water storage, Handling & Purification System, and associated Civil Works. This comprehensive setup provides a highly immersive training environment for naval personnel.

Safety is paramount at the FFTF. The safety and monitoring systems and algorithms adhere to stringent international standards, including DIN 14097 and NFPA guidelines. This ensures that the training is conducted in a controlled and safe manner.

The FFTF features a simulator that replicates five of the most fire-prone areas on a ship: the Engine Room, Machinery Control Room, Galley, Mess Deck, and Helo Deck. Fire is simulated in these exercise areas, allowing trainees to experience real-world firefighting scenarios.

A centralized control system, powered by a Programmable Logic Controller (PLC), monitors and controls the fire simulation in each exercise area. This system ensures that the training is consistent, repeatable, and can be adjusted to meet specific training objectives.

Electropneumatics & Hydraulics (I) Pvt. Ltd has established itself as a leader in firefighting training, providing naval personnel with the skills and knowledge necessary to combat fires effectively and efficiently. The FFTF is a testament to their commitment to innovation and safety in training.
