India and the US held the 2+2 Intersessional Dialogue here today between officials from India’s Ministry of External Affairs and Defence, and from the US State and Defense Departments. ” US Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asian Affairs Donald Lu alongside U.S. Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Indo-Pacific Security Affairs Jedidiah P. Royal co-chaired the eighth US-India 2+2 Intersessional Dialogue.

The Dialogue is aimed to identify opportunities to enhance the U.S.-India bilateral partnership, including defense cooperation, and expand U.S.-India collaboration in the Indo-Pacific and beyond, a US statement said earlier.
