In a recent address, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and former Chief of the Indian Air Force (IAF), Air Chief Marshal RKS Bhadauria (Retd.), underscored India’s steadfast commitment to a zero-tolerance policy against terrorism. Speaking at an event, Bhadauria emphasized the decisive actions taken by the Indian government under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership to combat terrorism, particularly in the aftermath of the Pulwama terror attack.

Reflecting on India’s response to terrorist incidents, Bhadauria highlighted the surgical strikes conducted across the Line of Control (LoC) in response to cross-border terrorism. He noted that these strikes targeted terrorist launchpads, sending a clear message of India’s resolve to safeguard its sovereignty and national security.

Bhadauria specifically mentioned the Balakot airstrike, which was conducted following the Pulwama terror attack in February 2019. He credited the airstrike with disrupting terrorist activities and preventing further incidents of violence. According to Bhadauria, the successful operation demonstrated India’s preparedness to address security challenges and its willingness to take decisive action against those who threaten the nation’s safety.

Highlighting the significance of the Balakot airstrike, Bhadauria emphasized that it was executed without any losses to the Indian Air Force or Army personnel. He praised the meticulous planning and execution of the operation, which breached Pakistan’s defenses and dealt a blow to terrorist infrastructure.

Furthermore, Bhadauria stressed that India’s commitment to combating terrorism extends beyond its borders. He asserted that individuals or groups involved in terrorist activities would be targeted regardless of their location, reaffirming India’s determination to root out terrorism in all its forms.

The former IAF chief’s remarks echo the Indian government’s longstanding stance on national security and counterterrorism efforts. Prime Minister Modi’s administration has consistently prioritized the safety and security of Indian citizens, implementing measures to counter terrorist threats and disrupt the activities of extremist organizations.
