JSW Sarbloh Motors CEO and Director, Vladimir Jaskirat Singh Nagra, took to X to highlight the potential of the locally manufactured Sherp N1200 as an ideal solution for disaster relief, particularly in situations like the recent Gujarat Floods.

The Sherp N1200, a rugged all-terrain vehicle, is designed to navigate challenging terrains, including flooded areas. Its impressive 1200 kg payload capacity enables it to transport essential supplies and personnel to remote locations. With its ability to traverse through deep water and muddy conditions, the Sherp can reach areas that are inaccessible to boats.

The Indian Army has already recognized the Sherp’s capabilities and has inducted 96 units into its fleet. This demonstrates the vehicle’s potential for military and civilian applications.

The Sherp N1200 is powered by a 1.2-liter turbocharged diesel engine, delivering a robust 136 horsepower. Its permanent all-wheel-drive system and CVT ensure exceptional traction and climbing ability. The vehicle’s unique hydro-pneumatic suspension system provides exceptional articulation and ground clearance, allowing it to overcome obstacles that would be insurmountable for other ATVs.

As the country faces increasing challenges due to climate change, the Sherp N1200 offers a promising solution for disaster relief efforts. Its versatility and durability make it a valuable asset in responding to emergencies and providing critical support to affected communities.
