In a significant leap towards bolstering its defense capabilities, India’s indigenous startup, Redon Systems Private Limited (RSPL), has unveiled a groundbreaking technological marvel – Achuk, a barrel launched loitering munition system. This state-of-the-art drone-like weapon system has demonstrated its prowess in both semi-autonomous and autonomous modes, opening new avenues in modern warfare.

Achuk is designed to carry out precise and lethal missions with a 1.5 kg payload and an impressive operational height of 3500 meters. Operating seamlessly in a wide temperature range from -20 to 50 degrees Celsius, it can endure diverse environmental conditions. With an impressive strike radius of 30 kilometers, this loitering munition can effectively target terrorist hideouts, vehicles, fuel and ammunition dumps, among other high-value enemy assets.

One of the key strengths of Achuk lies in its remarkable swarming capability. It can be deployed in swarms, which involves multiple drones working collaboratively to overpower enemy defenses. This innovative approach ensures that even heavily fortified enemy positions can be neutralized effectively.

The setup time for Achuk is remarkably short, standing at just 15 minutes. This swift deployment ability enhances its utility in dynamic and time-sensitive military operations. Furthermore, its semi-autonomous and autonomous modes of operation allow for optimal adaptability and flexibility on the battlefield.

The system’s advanced capabilities also include object identification and tracking, enabling it to precisely identify and engage targets with remarkable accuracy. Additionally, Achuk boasts real-time relay of GPS coordinates of its designated targets to the Ground Station, facilitating coordinated efforts and strategic planning.
