PTC Industries Ltd, a leading player in the titanium industry, has announced the acquisition of a Hot Rolling Mill. This strategic move will enable the company to manufacture high-quality plates and sheets in titanium alloys, specifically designed for aerospace and defense applications.
The Hot Rolling Mill will be integrated with PTC’s upcoming Strategic Materials Technology Complex in Lucknow, which is part of the Uttar Pradesh Defence Industrial Corridor (UPDIC). This facility will produce titanium alloy ingots and billets, providing the raw material for the Hot Rolling Mill.
With this acquisition, PTC will achieve complete vertical integration across the entire titanium alloy products value chain. The company will now be able to offer a comprehensive range of products, including titanium alloy ingots, billets, bars, rods, castings, plates, and sheets.
The new manufacturing capability will facilitate the production of thinner titanium sheets, which are essential for critical applications in defense and aerospace. These sheets can be used in aircraft wings, marine engineering components, and corrosion-resistant ship parts.
PTC’s Strategic Materials Technology facility in Lucknow is poised to become the largest titanium recycling and remelting center globally. The company is investing heavily in state-of-the-art technology and infrastructure to ensure the highest quality standards.
This acquisition marks a significant milestone for PTC Industries Ltd as it expands its presence in the titanium industry. The company is committed to providing innovative and sustainable solutions to meet the growing demand for high-performance titanium alloys.
