Paras Defence and Space Technologies Ltd. has received a significant boost to its order book with its associate company, Controp-Paras Technologies Pvt Ltd, securing a substantial order worth Rs 305 crore from Larsen & Toubro (L&T).
The contract entails the manufacturing and supply of 244 units of the advanced Sight-25 HD Electro-Optics (EO) System. This cutting-edge technology is set to enhance the capabilities of L&T’s Close-In Weapon System (CIWS) program, a critical component of India’s naval defense infrastructure.
Beyond the core supply, the order also encompasses extended warranty charges and an Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) package, further solidifying the partnership between the two companies. Paras Defence is committed to fulfilling the Indian Content (IC) requirements through a separate contract, underscoring its contribution to the nation’s self-reliance in defense manufacturing.
With an expected execution period of 47 months, this order marks a significant milestone for Paras Defence, reinforcing its position as a key player in India’s defense industry. The company’s expertise in electro-optics and its ability to meet the stringent demands of the defense sector have been instrumental in securing this substantial contract.
