In a significant development for India’s military aviation, the Indian Air Force’s (IAF) newly inducted C-295 transport aircraft was recently spotted alongside the veteran An-32 aircraft, capturing the attention of defense enthusiasts across the country. This initiative is part of the Indian government’s “Make in India” program, aimed at bolstering indigenous defense manufacturing and reducing reliance on foreign imports. The establishment of a C-295 production line in Gujarat, in collaboration with Airbus, will not only create jobs and spur economic growth but also ensure the availability of a steady supply of aircraft for the IAF and potentially other branches of the Indian Armed Forces.
