Bharat Dynamics Limited (BDL), a leading defense public sector undertaking, has announced its intent to export the Amogha-III, a state-of-the-art man-portable anti-tank guided missile (ATGM). Developed indigenously by BDL’s in-house R&D division, the Amogha-III represents a significant leap in India’s missile technology.

This third-generation fire-and-forget ATGM boasts an impressive range of 200 to 2500 meters, enabling it to engage a wide variety of armored targets. Its tandem warhead, capable of penetrating over 650 mm of armor, even in the presence of Explosive Reactive Armor (ERA), ensures superior lethality.

The Amogha-III’s advanced Dual Mode Imaging Infra-Red (IIR) seeker, coupled with aerodynamic and thrust vector control, provides high precision and accuracy, allowing for both top and direct attack modes. The missile’s smokeless, signature-free propulsion system and soft launch capability enhance its stealth and reduce the risk of detection.

By offering the Amogha-III to foreign customers, BDL aims to strengthen India’s position in the global defense market and showcase the capabilities of the Indian defense industry. The missile’s advanced features and proven performance make it an attractive option for militaries worldwide.
