The Indian government has issued a stern warning to Canada, accusing a Canadian Border Police officer of actively supporting and facilitating terrorist activities in Punjab, India. The officer, identified as Sandeep Singh Sidhu Sunny, has emerged as a key figure in promoting pro-Khalistani terrorism and has been linked to several terrorist acts.

According to Indian intelligence reports, Sunny has been in close contact with Pakistan-based terrorist Lakhbir Singh Rode and other operatives of the Pakistan Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI). He is alleged to have played a crucial role in the targeted killing of Comrade Balwinder Singh Sandhu in Punjab in October 2020, working in conjunction with the notorious gangster Sukhmeetpal Singh Sukh Bhikhiwal.

Sunny, who holds the rank of Superintendent at the Canada Border Service Agency (CBSA), has reportedly been actively associated with pro-Khalistani terrorists, including Lakhbir Singh Rode, USA-based Gurjot Kaur (a highly radicalized pro-Khalistan operative claiming to be the widow of Pakistan-based Khalistan Liberation Force chief Harmeet Singh Happy PhD), and Pakistani intelligence officials.

The Indian government has demanded that Canada take immediate action to address the serious allegations against Sunny and investigate his involvement in terrorist activities. India has emphasized the need for Canada to cooperate with Indian authorities in bringing the perpetrators of terrorism to justice.

This revelation has further strained the bilateral relationship between India and Canada, with India accusing Canada of harboring and supporting anti-India elements. The incident has raised serious concerns about the security implications and the potential for further terrorist attacks in India.
