In a major revelation that challenges Pakistan’s official denial of any losses during the recent Indo-Pak conflict, sources within India’s top defence establishment have confirmed that multiple Pakistan Air Force (PAF) aircraft were shot down on the first night of hostilities. The confirmation is backed by a web of multi-layered surveillance and tracking systems operated by the Indian Armed Forces.

According to officials familiar with the matter, the Indian Air Force’s Netra Airborne Warning and Control System (AWACS) played a pivotal role in tracking PAF aircraft that were engaged during the conflict. At least one PAF jet was observed falling over Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK), with confirmation from multiple sources, including infrared signatures, satellite imagery, and visual confirmation from cockpit feeds.

“PAF aircraft movements were being tracked in real-time by Netra AWACS and our integrated air defence grid. High-resolution satellite images, thermal data from airborne sensors, radio communication logs, and live feeds from fighter cockpits have all been reviewed and corroborated,” a senior official disclosed, speaking on the condition of anonymity due to the sensitivity of the matter.

On the first night of the engagement, at least three incoming projectiles were intercepted and neutralized by India’s Air Defence Systems (ADS), including surface-to-air missile units on high alert in forward areas. While Pakistan has denied any aircraft losses, sources say there is irrefutable evidence that some of the aircraft shot down were operating aggressively within contested airspace and were engaged in offensive sorties.

The Indian Air Force is currently compiling a comprehensive dossier comprising satellite photos, radar tracks, and electro-optical data that it plans to release to the public domain in due course. “There is no rush. The IAF will present verifiable and timestamped data that will leave no room for ambiguity,” the source said.

Visual confirmation from fighter jet cockpit feeds reportedly captured at least one enemy aircraft spiraling out of control over PoK. These visuals, along with accompanying flight telemetry and intercepted radio chatter, are expected to feature prominently in the Indian Air Force’s official disclosure.

This development stands in stark contrast to PAF’s narrative, which has consistently claimed zero losses and attempted to frame Indian assertions as propaganda. However, experts believe the use of advanced surveillance platforms like Netra AWACS, supported by India’s expanding satellite surveillance capabilities, significantly bolsters India’s situational awareness and response credibility.

As tensions remain high across the Line of Control (LoC), this disclosure marks a turning point in the post-conflict narrative battle. If the Indian Air Force indeed puts out conclusive evidence, it will not only validate India’s military claims but also expose Pakistan’s information warfare strategy aimed at concealing losses and projecting invulnerability.
