The Society of Indian Defence Manufacturers (SIDM) delegation made significant strides in strengthening India’s position in the global aerospace and defense industry on the second day of the Farnborough International Airshow 2024.

Led by Mr. Neeraj Gupta, Chairman of the SIDM International & Export Committee, the delegation engaged in fruitful discussions with leading Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), including BAE Systems, Rolls-Royce, Dassault Aviation, Lockheed Martin, and Leonardo.

The primary focus of these interactions centered around exploring potential supply chain opportunities, fostering collaborations between Indian private industry and regional governments, and showcasing India’s burgeoning defense manufacturing ecosystem. The delegation also provided insights into the country’s supportive government policies and outlined plans for future engagements to solidify partnerships.

These discussions underscore SIDM’s commitment to facilitating robust collaborations between Indian and global aerospace and defense players. By showcasing India’s capabilities and potential, the delegation aims to attract investments, technology transfers, and joint ventures, thereby bolstering the nation’s defense industrial base.
