‘Sikhs For Justice,’ a group of Khalistani sympathisers, have been making calls random numbers and issuing threats, claimed Gujarat police. The latest threat was also delivered in the voice of Gurpatwant Singh Pannun, a US-based lawyer and the founder of the Sikhs for Justice (SFJ) organisation, according to police sources.
The new pre-recorded message blames Union government leaders for the murders of Sikh farmers who revolted against new agricultural policies in 2020-2021.
Previously, the SFJ used a sim box to issue threats. Only one sim box case has been busted so far, according to local police sources, and fraudsters are still running eight additional sim box rackets.
On the evening of March 8, thousands of people in Gujarat received recorded audio notes from Gurpatwant Singh Pannun, the head of Sikhs for Justice, a US-based lawyer. According to the audio clip, the mob vowed to storm the Narendra Modi cricket stadium in the city during the India-Australia test match.
