Opposition leader Rahul Gandhi’s claim on China in the Lok Sabha has created a political uproar. Now Defense Minister Rajnath Singh has hit back on his statement. Defense Minister Rajnath Singh said that it is a matter of deep regret that Rahul Gandhi is indulging in irresponsible politics on matters of national interest. He said, he is lying.

During the debate on the motion of thanks on the President’s address yesterday, the Leader of Opposition said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s remarks in which he denied that the Chinese army is inside our territory were contrary to the statements of Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi. He said, Rahul Gandhi’s statement is contrary to the statements of Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi.

In a post on social media X, the Defence Minister wrote- The Army Chief’s remarks only mentioned the disruption of traditional patrolling by both sides. He also mentioned that these practices have been restored in their traditional form as part of the recent military withdrawal. The government has shared these details in Parliament.

Rajnath Singh further wrote- The words said by Rahul Gandhi for the Army Chief were never spoken by him. It is very sad that Rahul Gandhi is indulging in irresponsible politics on matters of national interest. He is lying, if there is any Indian territory in which China has entered, it is 38,000 sq km in Aksai Chin after the 1962 war and 5,180 sq km illegally handed over to China by Pakistan in 1963.

Rahul Gandhi had said, The Prime Minister has denied that Chinese forces are inside our territory, but for some reason, our Army keeps talking to the Chinese about their entry into our territory and our Army Chief has said that the Chinese are inside our territory, this is the truth, this is not an invention, it is a fact.
