According to reports from Pakistani media, India has been accused of orchestrating a series of subversive activities along the Line of Control (LoC), the de facto border dividing the disputed region of Kashmir between India and Pakistan. These allegations point to a deliberate campaign involving the transportation and use of improvised explosive devices (IEDs), weapons, and drugs, aimed at destabilizing the region and targeting Pakistani civilians and security forces. The claims, backed by purported evidence, paint a picture of escalating tensions and covert operations that threaten the fragile peace along the LoC.

Pakistani media reports assert that since 2016, there have been 54 documented incidents of Indian-planted IEDs along the LoC. These incidents have reportedly increased in frequency, with IEDs being discovered and detonated in areas such as Chakothi, Neza Pir, Chirikot, Rakh Chakri, Dewa, Battal, Kot Kotera, and other border regions. The explosions have resulted in significant civilian casualties, with many innocent lives lost or injured, further exacerbating tensions in an already volatile region.

Security sources cited by Pakistani media claim that India has been engaged in a prolonged campaign of sabotage along the LoC. This includes the smuggling of IEDs, weapons, and drugs into Pakistani-controlled areas such as Bagh, Battal, and Dewa. These activities are allegedly designed to create unrest, disrupt local communities, and undermine Pakistan’s control over its side of the border.

The most recent wave of incidents, as reported by Pakistani media, occurred in early February 2025. Between February 4-6, 2025, security forces recovered four Indian IEDs in the Battal sector and Rawlakot area. Tragically, one civilian was killed in an explosion during this period, highlighting the human cost of these alleged sabotage efforts. Just days later, on February 12, 2025, Pakistani media reported that Indian forces violated the ceasefire in the Dewa and Bagsar sectors, injuring two Pakistani soldiers. These incidents have been cited as evidence of India’s aggressive posture and disregard for the 2003 ceasefire agreement between the two nations.

Pakistan has formally protested these actions, raising concerns with India over the unrest in areas such as Poonch, Bagh, Kotli, Mirpur, and Rawlakot, as well as the transportation of IEDs. Additionally, Pakistan claims to have shared evidence of these subversive activities with United Nations officials stationed in the region, seeking international attention and accountability for India’s alleged actions.

Pakistani media reports further allege that the Indian army has been conducting false flag operations and fake encounters to falsely accuse Pakistan of infiltration across the LoC. These operations are purportedly designed to shift blame onto Pakistan and justify India’s military actions. A particularly damning accusation involves the use of double agents in collaboration with Indian border units to smuggle arms consignments. These weapons are allegedly disguised as Pakistani arms, only for the Indian army to later eliminate the agents, presenting them as Pakistani operatives to secure financial rewards and bolster their narrative.

One notable incident cited in these reports occurred in November 2022, when a civilian reportedly shot and killed an Indian soldier who was attempting to conceal a weapons cache. This event, captured on video, is presented as evidence of India’s covert operations and the lengths to which its military is willing to go to cover up its activities.
