After failing to sing the national anthem, airport authorities in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, apprehended a foreign national who had been staying in India with a fake passport. The incident happened on Monday, and the accused was a Bangladeshi national.

After being detained, the man was asked to produce his birth certificate and his Government of India passport. Following that, the immigration officer, who was still suspicious of him, requested that he sing the Indian National Anthem.

The man was unable to do so, so the Immigration officer reported him to Peelamedu Police.
