General Officer Commanding-in-Chief Northern Command, Lt Gen MV Suchindra Kumar, emphasized the evolving nature of modern warfare and the necessity for adaptability among new officers during his address at the Indian Military Academy’s (IMA) Passing out Parade.

Lt Gen Kumar pointed out how technological advances are reshaping the battlefield, with increasing use of space, cyber, and information warfare. He stressed that modern combat increasingly revolves around ideas, intellect, and innovation, urging the gentlemen cadets to be at the forefront of these challenges.

As he reviewed the Parade, Lt Gen Kumar lauded the high level of training at the IMA and the importance of physical fitness, mental agility, and technical prowess in facing contemporary warfare’s complexities. Following the Parade, a Pipping Ceremony saw 394 gentlemen cadets don the ranks of Commissioned Officers, ready to serve their nations.
