Indian Navy’s Mig-29K onboard India’s first Aircraft Carrier INS Vikrant has commenced low-speed trials on the decks of the aircraft carrier in anticipation of Aviation trials that are to commence the next month.

INS Vikrant is still in port where it is getting some of the required equipment installed before aviation trials can be commenced. Mig-29K and LCA-Navy will be used to assess the aviation wing capability of the aircraft carrier before it is cleared for operational roles.

Mig-29K which was put on board the aircraft carrier using a lift has been used extensively to study aircraft handling of the lift and hangar deck below to is to have set protocols for aviation assets in the aircraft carrier.
