Mehbooba Mufti criticised the recent killing of a “hybrid militant” in Jammu and Kashmir during an encounter and questioned the accountability of the authorities. The president of the JKPDP noted the prevalence of “same story” shootings and claimed that “alleged militants” are killed in “mysterious” circumstances.

Mufti posted on Twitter and stated, “In police custody, another Kashmiri who was allegedly a hybrid militant is killed. An alleged militant is taken to a hideout and then shot at under mysterious circumstances, according to the same story. No responsibility at all.”

The Kashmir Police announced the start of an encounter on Twitter in the meantime. It was clarified that the individual was a “hybrid militant” and a former member of Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT). Sajjad Tantray was described as the “hybrid militant.”

“Sajjad Tantray of Kulgam, a suspected hybrid terrorist of the LeT, was with the search party for the purpose of identifying the suspected hideout when terrorists opened fire, striking him. When he was brought to SDH Bijbehara, doctors pronounced him dead “Police in Kashmir had disclosed.
