A request for information (RFI) for the procurement of 700 units of Protected Mobility Vehicle (PMV) for deployment below 4000m and 500 units of Protected Mobility Vehicle (PMV) for the deployment above 4000m have been recently issued by the Indian Army.
The PMV should be a wheeled, 4×4 drive mode vehicle with an automatic transmission with a Power to Weight Ratio not less than 20 HP/Ton with a payload of 02 Ton for Low altitude variant and a Power to Weight Ratio not less than 27 HP/Ton with a payload of 02 Ton for high altitude variant.
RFI specifies that PMV Should have minimum STANAG Level II(b) for KE threat and protection from Grenade and Mine blasts and have a max speed of 80 km/hr on road and 40 Kms/hr on cross country. PMV should have a minimum of 11 firing ports and a 360-degree rotation turret on the roof for 7.62mm LMG and the Kerb Weight of the PMV on offer should not be more than 14 Ton.
