Indian Air Force (IAF) has issued a Request for Information (RFI) for the procurement of 250 Long Range Satellite Navigation System Guided missiles (LRSGM) from Indian Vendors. RFI seeks LRSGM that can avoid enemy air defense and still maintain a high probability of hitting the targets.
LRSGM is envisaged to be a long-range precise air-to-ground supersonic weapon that can enhance the stand-off ranges of the aircraft. RFI seeks LRSGM that has a reconfigurable warhead payload and that can be used to take out targets such as command and control centers, air bases, logistics centers, bunkers, munitions storage, and other key infrastructure facilities.
The order will be for 250 LRSGM that needs to be delivered 24 months from the date of award of the contract and all deliveries should be completed within 48 months from the date of award of the contract.
