By December 15, India will have received the final Rafale fighter jet from France, completing the delivery of all 36 aircraft under the terms of the agreement between the two countries. According to senior defence officials, the aircraft was used to develop India-specific enhancements for the Indian Air Force’s Rafale fleet (IAF).

On July 29, 2020, the first batch of Rafale jets arrived in India. The Indian Air Force also began upgrading the planes to the highest standards and outfitting them with all India-specific upgrades.
