India and Egypt have decided to broaden bilateral military cooperation and focus on team training, defence co-production, and equipment maintenance. Tanks, artillery, and rifles are all of common Russian ancestry in both nations.

When Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh spoke on the phone on Monday in Cairo, they discussed the cooperation.

They emphasised the value of collaborative effort. El-Sisi is satisfied with increased level of military cooperation between the two nations. A significant accomplishment, according to him, was signing an MoU on defence cooperation. According to President El-Sisi, India and Egypt have had a long history of bilateral ties. He highlighted the importance of India and Egypt sharing strategies and information for fighting against the threat of terrorism.
