In a significant development for the aerospace industry in India, Dynamatic Manufacturing Limited recently welcomed Mike Broetzmann and Thomas Jacobi, both Manager-Profiles from Airbus’ ToW (Transfer of Work), for a Gemba review of the Airbus PAG Profiles Project.

The visit, which took place at Dynamatic’s facilities, marked a crucial step in the ongoing collaboration between the two entities. Mike Broetzmann took the opportunity to inaugurate new machinery aimed at enhancing production capacity for the project. This initiative is part of a broader strategy to ramp up the manufacturing capabilities for Airbus’s PAG (Profile and Assembly Group) components, specifically tailored for their aircraft programs.

The highlight of the visit was the official launch of the series production, signaling a milestone in the project’s lifecycle. This move not only underscores Dynamatic’s role as a key supplier in the aerospace sector but also highlights the trust and partnership between Airbus and Indian manufacturers.

The event was further celebrated when Dynamatic received an Airbus Plaque for the ‘1st FAI Approval.’ First Article Inspection (FAI) is a critical process in aerospace manufacturing, ensuring that the initial production units meet all the design, quality, and performance specifications set by Airbus. This approval not only recognizes Dynamatic’s commitment to excellence but also sets a benchmark for the PAG Transfer Project, positioning Dynamatic as a leader in precision aerospace manufacturing.

The Gemba review, a core principle of lean manufacturing where management goes to the actual place where work is done to observe the process directly, allowed Broetzmann and Jacobi to assess the project’s progress firsthand. This approach fosters a deeper understanding of operational realities, enabling more effective problem-solving and innovation on the production floor.
