A CRPF jawan posted in Jammu-Kashmir married a Pakistani girl online. The jawan and his entire family could not go to Pakistan due to not getting a visa. They got married in the month of July last year. Now after a long wait of about 9 months, Meenal has reached her in-laws’ house on March 1. But she has got a permit for only 15 days.

According to media reports, Munir Ahmed is a resident of Rabta Handwal village of Bhalwal tehsil of Jammu. At present, he is posted in Ransoo of Shiv Khori in Reasi district. Some time ago, Munir was engaged to Minal Khan, a resident of Kotli Fakir Chand in Sialkot, Pakistan. Minal’s father’s name is Asghar Khan. Before marriage, Munir had applied for a visa. But due to increasing tensions on the border, there was some difficulty in getting the visa.

Finally, on 24 May last year, Munir and Minal’s family arranged their online Nikah. After waiting for about 9 months, she reached Wagah border on Friday morning. Munir had already reached the border to receive his wife. As soon as Minal reached Munir’s house, the family welcomed her. Munir’s family members told that India was partitioned in 1947. In this, Minal’s family members went to Pakistan. When Minal came to India, Munir’s family told that the daughter-in-law has reached India only after crossing all kinds of legal hurdles. Permission was also taken from all the agencies.
