Chief of Air Staff COAS Bangladesh Air Force, Air Chief Marshal Masihuzzaman Serniabat who was part of visiting Bangladeshi dignitaries at India’s Aero India 2021 was given a demo flight of India’s homegrown LCA Tejas Trainer aircraft. Serniabat is a veteran Mig-29 and Chengdu F-7 Pilot arrived with key senior BAF leadership a day before the start of Aero India 2021 on BAF owned AN-32 aircraft on the invitation of the Indian Air Force (IAF).

According to Bangladeshi media, India has agreed to send its Tejas Mk1 fighters jets to participate in Bangladesh Air Show 2022 (BAS-2022) schedule for next year, on request of BAF. China is sending its J-10C and Pakistan has refused to send its JF-17 for some unknown reasons but according to Bangladeshi media, it is due to BAF’s refusal to buy them in previous offers to the country to replace some of its Chinese F-7 jets.

Indian Air Force (IAF) Air Chief Marshal RKS Bhadauria hosted counterparts from Tajikistan and Bangladesh on the last day of Aero India 2021 in Bengaluru. IAF said in a tweet that. “The wide range of exchanges between the two Air Forces is a reflection of strong bonds of friendship that bind India & Bangladesh,”
