A Bangalore-based AI and Robotics technology park is set to revolutionize the Indian agriculture sector with the launch of Ashva 4X4 Farm RoVR at the International Auto Show 2024. This innovative all-terrain utility vehicle marks a significant milestone in India’s journey towards self-sufficiency in agricultural technology.
Ashva is the first of four planned all-terrain vehicles by the company. Designed as a 2-seater 4-wheel-drive ATV, it boasts a robust space frame chassis and impressive dimensions, measuring 3,556 mm in length, 1,930 mm in width, and 2,010 mm in height. With a wheelbase of 2,600 mm, the Ashva 4×4 weighs 850 kg and can carry a payload of 60 kg.
Under the hood, the ATV is powered by a 976cc, liquid-cooled V-twin engine, offering two power output options. The base variant delivers 71 BHP and 85 Nm, while the higher-spec engine generates 85 BHP and 101 Nm. Both variants feature a 2-step CVT and on-demand 2WD and 4WD with locking differentials.
The Ashva 4×4 is engineered to conquer challenging terrains, with the capability to climb up a 65-degree slope and drive over a side slope of 45 degrees. Its impressive off-road performance is expected to make it a valuable asset for farmers and agricultural workers.
Given India’s growing focus on self-reliance in defense and technology, the Ashva 4X4 is likely to attract significant interest from the Indian Armed Forces. The Made in India ATV offers a viable alternative to imported products, potentially saving the country valuable foreign exchange.
As the International Auto Show 2024 approaches, the launch of Ashva 4X4 Farm RoVR is eagerly anticipated by the Indian automotive and agricultural communities. This innovative vehicle has the potential to redefine the way farming operations are conducted in the country.
