The Spanish-made C-295 aircraft was inducted into the Indian Air Force’s Agra base on January 30. The first C-295 aircraft was handed over to the Agra Air Force Station in the presence of Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Central Air Command Air Marshal Ashutosh Dixit. The new aircraft was commissioned in the squadron premises.
The ceremony showcased a fly-past of the new C-295, accompanied by two Su-30s in precise formation. “Incorporation of this military transport aircraft into a flying Squadron of the Central Air Command signifies a remarkable stride in regional air operations,” an official said.
