In a significant milestone for India’s defense sector, Adani Defence & Aerospace has successfully delivered the Next Generation Anti-Radiation Missile (NGARM) Type-II, also known as Rudram-II, to the Defence Research and Development Laboratory (DRDL) under the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO).

The NGARM Type-II, an advanced air-to-surface missile, is designed to neutralize enemy radar and communication systems with high precision. This delivery follows Adani’s involvement in the mass production of the Rudram missile series, including the hypersonic Rudram-2 variant, at its Hyderabad facility. The Type-II variant enhances the missile’s capabilities, building on the successful trials of its predecessor, which achieved a 10-meter Circular Error Probable (CEP) over a 100 km range.

DRDL, responsible for the missile’s design and development, will now integrate and test the delivered systems as part of India’s ongoing efforts to strengthen its indigenous defence technology under the ‘Aatmanirbhar Bharat’ initiative. This development reinforces India’s strategic deterrence capabilities against electronic threats.
