Light Combat Helicopter (LCH) will be holding several demonstrations for Military attachments of foreign embassies in India at the upcoming Aero India 2019 who have previously shown interested in procurement of the attack helicopters after program recently achieved a major milestone last month when LCH was cleared of all weapon trials.

LCH TD-4 which is near production variant of the LCH will be holding flying demonstrations for potential customers after Ministry of Defence (MOD) cleared HAL developed LCH for export. HAL will be soon be awarded a contract for 15 Limited Serial Production (LSP) of LCH at Aero India 2019 and HAL already have started work on first 7 LSPs of LCH.

10 LCH will be delivered to Indian Air Force and 5 will go to Indian Army, once LSP deliveries are completed it is expected that IAF will place orders for 65 LCH and Indian Army for 97 LCH post-2020. HAL has received some inquiries from Egypt, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Vietnam for LCH and it is expected military attaches from these countries will be briefed and also be given flight demonstration.

LCH will begin trials of Anti-Tank Helina Missile by end of this year to expand its weapons portfolio further and will continue to do so in near future with new weapon systems since it will be an ongoing process for the program. HAL post LSP deliveries will carry out further improvements based on customers feedback and also plans to shed nearly 20kgs of dead weight from the platform before it starts work on production variant.
