According to industrial sources close to, HAL might bag further smaller orders from Indian Army which might keep the production line open for next few years but gradually focus will now shift towards other indigenous helicopter projects like LUH, LCH and IMRH in future.

HAL also plans to develop a new Mk-V version which is improved Mk-III without weapons in hope of bagging further orders for its Dhruv helicopters. Mk-V version will get improved aerodynamics and improved avionics with some minor technical refinement to engines and gearbox.
