March 10 is the date set by India to test BrahMos with an enhanced range of 450km. Existing inventories of BrahMos will all soon get software updates which earlier capped their range to 290km due to MTCR regulations.

BrahMos missile which is already in service with Indian Army and Indian Navy will have its software limitations removed allowing it to hit targets up to 450km which is 55% more range than existing blocks. Continue reading

The Tejas turning over an F1 circuit during the Bahrain Air Show

Engineer Kamal bin Ahmed Mohammed (Minister for Transportation and Telecommunication of Kingdom of Bahrain) who was down in India to attend Aero India 2017 told Indian media that he could like Indian developed LCA-Tejas Fighter jet to come back at next year’s BIAS-2018 scheduled for 14-16 November.

Excellency said that India’s indigenous light combat aircraft Tejas impressed everyone with its manoeuvrability and received a significant positive response from many visiting delegations. Continue reading

DRDO Chief Dr S Christopher while speaking to media has hinted that Pinaka MK-1 multiple barrel rocket which first bagged major orders from Indian Army a decade ago (2007) and currently in production at Ambajhari ordnance factory outside Nagpur producing 5000 Rockets a year feels its right time to consider it for export.

DRDO already has demonstrated Guided Pinaka MK-II with under 75km range recently and is anticipating orders for Advance and improved variants in future. DRDO Chief feels export of MK-1 version can keep current existing production open for few more years allowing the country to recover its investment in its development. Continue reading

According to Indian media reports, Government of Indonesia through official channels has asked Indian government about details on indigenously developed LCA-Tejas combat jet.

Accordingly, India is planning to brief Indonesian air force on the technical aspect of LCA-Tejas followed up with detail proposal if Indonesian air force is interested in the purchase of LCA-Tejas combat jet. Continue reading

Reports of Myanmar having advanced negotiations with Pakistan to licence-build JF-17 fighter has not gone down well with Pakistani Netizen who have criticised its government decision, even when Pakistan government has repeatedly raised Rohingya issue at UN, OIC.

Pakistan is seen has a leading Muslim voice in the humanitarian crisis in Myanmar and seeking the intensification of diplomatic and moral pressure on the government of Myanmar to grant adequate citizenship rights to the Rohingya community, in accordance with international humanitarian laws.
