Six persons were detained as National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Tuesday raided multiple locations in Punjab and Rajasthan to dismantle terror-criminal nexus in the country, an official said.

The searches are still underway at 14 locations in Punjab and two in Rajasthan as part of ongoing investigation in a case related to terrorist-criminal nexus, the official of the federal agency said.

Bollywood film Article 370 does not face any ban in Gulf countries, sources have said. Sources further added that in certain Gulf countries, the film awaits certification. Earlier, a release from the public relations team of the film had claimed that the movie was banned in Gulf countries. The high-octane action political drama, headlined by Yami Gautam and directed by National Award-winner Aditya Suhas Jambhale, is produced by Jyoti Deshpande, Aditya Dhar and Lokesh Dhar. Article 370 was released in cinemas on February 23. The film also stars Priyamani, Arun Govil and Kiran Karmarkar in key roles.

Actor Yami Gautam, on Monday, said the cast and the makers had “full faith” in the film finding favour with the audience. Revealing that the makers were told that such films may not find too many takers, the actor said, “We were told that this film may not find success at the box office as viewers do not appreciate such subjects” In the film, plays intelligence officer Zooni Haksar.

In a significant revelation, Air Chief Marshal B.S. Dhanoa (Retd.), former head of the Indian Air Force (IAF), has confirmed the possession of classified Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) imagery that supports India’s success in striking Jaish-e-Mohammed terror training camps deep inside Pakistan following the Balakot airstrikes. These images, according to Dhanoa, counter the initial assessments made by international agencies relying on open-source imagery.

Speaking to livefistdefence.com, Dhanoa emphasized the importance of high-resolution images for accurate damage assessment. “To see an 80cm hole in a building, you need to put at least 2 pixels on the hole (approximately 40cm resolution),” he explained. International agencies, lacking knowledge of the specific aim points and advanced weaponry deployed by the IAF, had initially underestimated the impact of the strikes.

Kerala is all set to be catapulted to a new glory when Prime Minister Narendra Modi will reveal the names of four test pilots undergoing training for India’s Gaganyaan Mission when he visits the Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre (VSSC) here on Tuesday.

Sukhoi fighter pilot Group Captain Prashanth B. Nair, who hails from Kerala, has been undergoing the training for India’s dream mission for the past few years, sources said. The four test pilots have completed their training in Russia and are now getting familiar with the intricacies of the mission at a unit of the ISRO., Group Captain Ajit Krishnan, Group Captain Angad Pratap, and Wing Commander Shubhanshu Shukla. The four astronauts were trained at Yuri Gagarin Cosmonaut Training Center in Russia.

Pakistan Army has shot down Indian spying quadcopter that intruded into country’s airspace along the Line of Control. Pakistani forces at 12:55 pm on Sunday last shot down an Indian Army quadcopter that was spying in the area near LoC.

It is pertinent to mention that the remains of the quadcopter were found yesterday. An insignia of the Indian Army can be seen in the pictures which confirms that the quadcopter belongs to the Indian Army.

Highlighting the significant transformation in the state, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said on Monday that before 2017 illegal firearms were brandished in Uttar Pradesh, but today, all six nodes of the defence corridor are actively contributing to India’s selfreliance in defence manufacturing. Prime Minister Narendra Modi who arrived in Kerala on Tuesday reviewed the progress on the Gaganyaan human spaceflight programme at the Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre (VSSC) in Thiruvananthpuram. The PM arrived in the Kerala’s state capital this morning as part of his two-day visit to Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Maharashtra.

The Gaganyaan Mission is India’s first human space flight program for which extensive preparations are underway at various ISRO centres. The PM was accompanied by Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, Union Minister Muraleedharan and ISRO chairman S Somanath. PM is also scheduled to dedicate three facilities of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) to the nation during his visit.

India has questioned why the UN Security Council has been rendered “completely ineffective” in resolving the Russia-Ukraine conflict that has continued unabated for two years, as New Delhi asserted that outdated structures need reform for multilateralism to be effective.

India’s Permanent Representative to the UN Ambassador, Ruchira Kamboj, raised the question at a UN General Assembly plenary meeting held to mark two years since the beginning of the Ukraine conflict on February 24, 2022.
