The Tejas turning over an F1 circuit during the Bahrain Air Show

Engineer Kamal bin Ahmed Mohammed (Minister for Transportation and Telecommunication of Kingdom of Bahrain) who was down in India to attend Aero India 2017 told Indian media that he could like Indian developed LCA-Tejas Fighter jet to come back at next year’s BIAS-2018 scheduled for 14-16 November.

Excellency said that India’s indigenous light combat aircraft Tejas impressed everyone with its manoeuvrability and received a significant positive response from many visiting delegations.

We were delighted that BIAS-2016 was chosen for its first International debut and we hope it continues to participate in future BIAS.

Two Tejas fighters travelled from India to perform aerobatics at the Bahrain International Airshow (BIAS-2016) held from January 21-23. Kingdom of Bahrain had invited Indian Defence ministry to showcase Indian weapons systems at the Aero show and had specifically asked to display the Tejas in BIAS-2016.

Indian developed Netra Airborne Early Warning System was also part of BIAS-2016 which received inquiries from many participating Senior air force officials and the high-ranking delegation of visiting countries.
